Intensive driving courses

You are here: Home / Lessons / Intensive driving courses

You will find listed details of the courses Kim and Nikki offer.

The courses are suitable for learners with no experience at all or to those who have had lessons previously.  Look at the list, which course may be the most suitable one for your circumstances!

Ultimately your instructor will guide you.

Whatever course you take it will culminate in your practical test on the final day.

  • Tailored courses, on exclusive one to one basis
  • A fully structured course
  • Car and instructor on test day
  • Full motor insurance cover
  • Instructor has full public liability cover

The list of courses refers to previous experience in hours behind the wheel and assumes that the experience has been gained from tuition with an Approved Driving Instructor. Many pupils have gained experience by driving under supervision from suitably qualified family members or friends. This is not a problem and equips the pupil with a road sense that otherwise has to be gained under instruction from an Approved Driving Instructor. It may be that one of the courses has to be changed to reflect the standard of driving the Instructor observes when first out in the car with the pupil. The change can be in either direction. Extra hours to work on bad habits that have developed or less hours for pupils who have been with a more Stringent Supervising Driver.

One of the habits we often have to correct is in handling the Steering wheel. Arms must not be crossed and correct handling is essential for safety and accuracy.

Another habit we often have to correct is that Parents and Partners often teach Mirror signal Manoeuvre, based on their own learning days, but like most things in life, change occurs and mirror signal manoeuvre is now out of date – like analogue televisions, we now use Mirrors Signal Manoeuvre.

All our courses are conducted on a one to one basis. The courses range from 2 days to 15.

Each training day on an intensive course will last for a minimum of 4hours through to 7hours.

Of course no-one can work or drive for this amount of time without a break – you or your instructor

So after every 2hours behind the wheel you and your instructor would stop for a refreshment break.

If you are local or in SE London or Kent then making arrangements for an intensive couldn’t be simpler it starts with a call to our office or an e-mail. If you are further away and want to make your course a residential course then we can help with that also. We would recommend a local B&B or hotel so you can make the course a residential stay if you wish. Learn to drive and visit Kent, combine learning with some tourism

What Next?

If you have a question that has not been answered by what you have read, do not hesitate to contact us. All the above are examples, we can tailor a course to your needs but you need to contact us first.

We are all different and develop skills at different paces.

These courses are for people who want an accelerated rate of learning.

  • Work may prevent you being in a location long enough to learn over a longer time period for example shop fitters, electricians.
  • That ideal job you always wanted that demands you can drive – you never seem to have the time to devote to driving lessons
  • You can take some annual leave and do the course and still have time for leisure.
  • Students moving away from home- needing the freedom to get about independently- half term courses might help.

We provide intensive courses in all the areas we cover, if in doubt give us a call and see if we can help!
