Gareth
Gareth is a fully qualified instructor who joined Turn-2-Us in 2009. Gareth is married and has two young children. He was born on the isle of Sheppey and has lived either in or around Sittingbourne all his life, which makes him ideally placed for pupils living in Sittingbourne, Faversham, Isle of Sheppey or even Canterbury and surrounding areas.
Although Gareth attends Church on a Sunday morning, you will often find him giving driving lessons on a Sunday afternoon .
Gareth’s hobbies include football and follows Liverpool FC. He used to play in goal for Sittingbourne and Herne Bay and actually coaches children the art of goalkeeping one evening a week. This makes him an ideal driving instructor as he can tackle any problems his pupils have with learning to drive.
Alan
Alan is the newest member to the Turn-2-Us Team. He has been a fully qualified driving instructor for 3 years after many years as a "Class 1 Driver" and specialises in Manual tuition in Sittingbourne, Teynham, Faversham, Canterbury and Herne Bay.
Alan is married with three children and when he is not giving lessons he enjoys playing golf and belongs to the local Golf Club, and he also has a drum kit which he hopes to learn to play at some point!
Alan specialises in helping nervous pupils gain confidence to help them through their driving tests.
Andy
Andy, a keen Manchester United supporter, is our fully qualified manual instructor covering
Maidstone, Sittingbourne and the Isle of Sheppey, and all areas in between. Andy is married with two of his own children and two stepchildren which take up most of his spare time.
This local Sheppey man is a keen fisherman and can often be found on a boat at the weekend doing some sea fishing when is is not teaching pupils to drive.

Over the years Andy has worked in many roles giving him experience in dealing with the public, in recent years he has brought this experience to his role as a driving instructor to the benefit of a wide range of pupils.
Andy is a very patient instructor and particularly good with nervous pupils, he enjoys working with the Turn-2-Us Team after years of working on his own and feels being a Member of the team gives him a good back-up for his pupils, as he can now be contacted at any time through the office.
Mitch
Mitch has always enjoyed driving and was a London Black Cab Driver for many years prior to becoming a Driving Instructor. Mitch joined the team in October 2008 and lives on the Hoo Peninsular so is ideally suited to teach pupils manual tuition around Grain, Gravesend and the Medway Towns .
Mitch is a specialist in pupils with aspergers syndrome and recently one of his pupils has sucessfully passed their driving test.
Prior to christmas Mitch had 9 test passes in 2 weeks - What a fantastic pass rate!
He has a love of flying with a keen interest in microlights and all types of aeroplanes. Like most lads when he was growing up he had a motorbike and never lost his enthusiasm for riding.
Mitch is a keen wildlife conservationist and in his spare time cares for injured wild animals and bird life.
He is married with two daughters and currently shares his home with a large number of injured animals waiting to be released back into the wild.
Brian
Born and bred in Sheppey, Brian moved away to follow a career in nursing for 30 years. He is now back and this genuine ‘swampy’ is well placed to offer driving lessons on the island . He offers automatic and manual lessons here, across Medway, Swale, Maidstone and Faversham. Brian holds an IAM Advanced Driving certificate, a Diamond Taxi Trainer certificate, a RoSPA Advanced Driving qualification and is a registered Pass Plus provider .
A calm and very patient instructor, Brian is happy teaching and coaching pupils of all abilities.
Terry Automatic Instructor (photo to follow)
This fully qualified instructor is a husband and father of two, with a calm nature instructing automatic pupils.
Terry enjoys all sports including cricket, and football but is enthusastic about his garden. He is particularly proud of his fruit and vegetables. He specialises in organic gardening.
Terry will cover automatic tuition on the Isle of Sheppey, Gravesend, Medway, Maidstone and Swale.
He also is a fully qualified PSV driver (coach driver) he was an instructor for London Transport and an instructor and training manager for the Arriva Bus Company. Terry is our specialist for nervous pupils who require a tutor with a very calm nature to help them pass their driving test.
Auriel
Auriel lives on the Isle of Sheppey and works in the Sittingbourne/Swale and Medway areas.
An Instructor with lots of experience she also takes pupils for test at the Herne Bay test centre. She is undertaking a lot of self development to enhance the quality of her instruction, which is a reflection of the very high standard of driving and training she provides for her clients. She has now undertaken further personal development in gaining a ROSPA qualification. Auriel has achieved the Diamond Advanced Motorist Certificate, is a member of the DIA and is a Diamond Advanced Instructor. She is committed to CPD (Continuous personal development) and is working towards a Diploma in Driving Instruction.
Auriel also provides Driving Instructor training for Parts 1, 2 and 3 of the Qualification to become a Driving Instructor.
With what little time she does get to herself she is taking lessons in playing a guitar and scuba diving.
Kim
Kim lives in Sittingbourne, his hobbies include driving as he belongs to The Reject 4x4 Club and drives a Landrover for off-roading in his spare time. He is an Instructor at the True Grip off road Site in Herne Bay several times a month. An experienced motorcyclist he is studying for the IAM Advanced Motorcyclist Qualification , as Kim says, “motorcycling allows me to engage with the environment I am riding in, driving a comfortable car degrades the feel for the roads you experience as a rider”. This improves my driving and my tuition which benefits my clients as a result.
Kim holds the Diamond Advanced Driver Qualification and also is also listed on the DSA’s register as a Qualified Fleet Trainer .
Kim is also a Qualified SAFED Trainer , working with Van Drivers and Fleet Managers. More recently he qualified as a Trainer on the Speed Awareness Course run by Kent County Council.
The off roading experience he has gained over the last decade, adds to his driving lessons. Kim Works with many of the unlicenced drivers that turn-2-us for help, he also works with Drivers Training for the Taxi Drivers Test.
A lifetime in customer service is now channeled into the service he provides his clients over the last five years as a driving instructor. Kim say's " I do all the driving when the family travel in Europe, this helps my tuition as i know how clients feel when they are overwhelmed by the learning experience, anyone who has negotiated the Route Peripherique around Paris will understand".
Covers all the areas in which the school operates, his main role is providing commercial services to Companies and the intensive course the school operates and works in both Auto and Manual transmission cars.
Teresa - Office Manager
Teresa lives in Sittingbourne and her hobbies are dancing and swimming, although with office hours from 7am till 10pm every day this leaves little time for hobbies.
Teresa will be doing the "Race for Life" in aid of Cancer research this year, and uses any free time that she has at the moment for training!
Although Teresa is not a driving instructor, she can arrange your lessons, book either your Practical or Theory Test and help with any queries you may have.
She says "The common link between all our callers is that they enjoy talking with a person rather than an answerphone". A lifetime of customer service is now one of our unique offerings which our competitors are unable to provide.
Keli
Keli is in her first working position during her gap year. Hoping to go on and study forensics, she brings detail to the office which is much needed. She deals with all the "tech problems" and takes your calls. In her spare time she is an accomplished pole dancer.
Nikki
She attended local school in Sittingbourne and then went on to study A-Level Law at Canterbury College.
Nikki is working part time with us in the office at the moment and has recently passed her Part 1 of her 3-Part exam and is continuing her studies to become a fully qualified Driving Instructor.
